Currently we have Bitbucket server install on Centos 7 in our office server. Our hardware is getting old and we have decided to move to Bitbucket Docker addition. We need help with backing up the data from old server and then move it to Bitbucket Docker. We have been trying last 5 days with no success :( please help.

Hello Nitin, welcome to the Community!

I understand you're looking to migrate your Bitbucket Server instance, from a CentOS install to a docker image.

The most straightforward way to do this would be to use the Bitbucket Server backup client to take a backup of your CentOS-installed Server instance and restore it to your freshly-installed Docker instance. This involves some downtime - your existing instance must stop running for the backup client to do its work.

Is this the method you've tried using already? If so, do you get any errors when running the backup client?

Cheers,
Daniel
