Git describe error on pipeline

I've run this git describe on my local machine as well as on my server:


git describe --match "*staging*" --abbrev=0 --tags

Output is:

v1.2.62-staging

When my pipeline run my shell script includes git describe, I got this error:

fatal: No names found, cannot describe anything.
