why does bamboo local admin does not have admin privileges?

I have reset bamboo admin password folloing the instructions in the link

I am able to login to bamboo using admin but this user does not have admin previleges

 

when I go to 

bamboo/admin/administer.action I get the below message

 

Access denied

Sorry, you have insufficient permissions to view the page. Please contact an administrator if you believe This is an error.

Hi Sachin,

I assume you are using an external authentication for Bamboo User Management.

The default group in Bamboo that has admin permission is bamboo-admin.

  • Check if the user belongs to the local bamboo-admin group.
  • The username does not match any of the users coming from LDAP.

If not, check your bamboo logs to look for hints.
