XSRF token validation failed - bamboo setup

Ryan_Finney May 28, 2019

Hello,

I am running through installing Bamboo and was able to get the application installed and ran the start-bamboo.bat file. I enter my license key after accessing the application through <my-server-ip>:8085, hit either Express or Custom install and get the following error.

XSRF token validation failed

Unable to access this resource due to a failed XSRF check. Please ensure that a valid XSRF token is provided in the request.

Error code: XSRF_FAILURE_NO_TOKEN_IN_COOKIE

Please advise...

SOLUTION FOUND: I used a different browser on a different server and was able to get through no problem. not sure why, but it was browser related. Was using IE.. (only browser on the remote server lol)

For people in the future:
I got similar issue, but on Ubuntu. Reason was that user that launched bamboo didn't have permissions in Bamboo-home folder.

Either launching bamboo with sudo or permission change should work.
