Why is my build queued for more than 1 minute while my remote agent is idle?

Since I've configured multiple build plans, Bamboo all of a sudden started queueing my manually started builds for more than a minute. It starts with 10 seconds, and then it moves up to more than 1 minute, whereas the remote agent is completely idle. Why is that and what can I do about it?

Do you have branches enabled, and branch merging happening? If so the Merge happens before the agent actually shows busy.
