Why don't capabilities show in drop down when creating a Task?

Serge Dukic February 8, 2012

Hi,

We're running Bamboo 3.2 and want to create a Maven 3.x task. When selecting the executable for the task, there is ony one choice in the drop down "Maven 3 (Windows)", even though we have several other capabilities declared on our various build agents.

Why would it not be showing the rest of the executables that are defined? Does this have anything to do with the rest of the build requirements?

After upgrading to Bamboo 3.3, the problem has gone away.

Serge, can you check that those other capabilities are Maven 3 capabilities and not Maven 2 capabilities? The Task capability dropdown filters so that you only see capabilities for the given Task type.

They're definitely created as Maven 3.x executables, but just don't come up in the drop down.
