View Plan as Java Specs produces exception

Hello,

I am trying to move out build plans to revision control. when I try to export the plans, I get this:

Export to Bamboo Specs failed: Duplicate repository null ------------------------------ Duplicate repository null

Any ideas? I am concerned that the build may be too old:

version 6.5.0 build 60509 - 20 Apr 18

Thanks,

Mike

Hi @Mike Mintz

Instead of going deeper to try understanding what could be the source of this issue, I have a different suggestion that may save time.

  • Is it a problem for you to remove the repository configuration and add it back?
It is possible that recreating them will fix the data structure that seems to be wrong/corrupted.

Let me know if results you have in case you are trying this approach.

Thank you for the suggestion. Sorry to be dense, but what repository? As you can tell, I have only been using Bamboo for a few weeks. I was quite surprised that versioning build plans was not standard.

Hi @Mike Mintz

The error you see seems to be related to the source repository configuration set for your Bamboo plan. When you created the plan, I suppose you configured a repository for it and I think that is the data structure reporting this error.

Steps to find the source repository information I'm talking about:

  • Build >> All Build plans >> (click the affected plan) >> Actions >> Configure plan >> Repositories.

I suppose you will find a repository entry there (that was configured before), and I suggested you to try removing and adding it back to check if the export specs issue will be fixed.

I was quite surprised that versioning build plans was not standard.

Yes, Bamboo specs is a recent feature and intends to fix this gap.

Let e know if recreating the repo will fix the issue.

Hi Daniel,

Cool found the repositories. I will try that later today, but feel free to close the issue.

We have lots of repositories and I need to be careful that I add the correct one back in.

Hi @Mike Mintz

Take your time to check those repositories and if that didn't solve the issue, just share with us here. =]
