Trigger a deployment release rollback based on condition

I want to perform these steps:

  • deploy the code to server (tasks in 1st environment)
  • run ui tests on the deployed code (tasks in 2nd environment, this will be triggered by 1st environment only if that succeeds)
    • if the tests fail (based on conditions in inline powershell script), then rollback the 1st environment to previous release.
    • if the tests succeed, then nothing to do.

I have used the Inject Bamboo Variables plugin, for assigning values to runtime bamboo variables. so no issue on that.

To trigger a Release Rollback for Deployment, i searched out and got this plugin Bamboo Plan Runners. But even this was of no use, as it claimed.

Hi!

Looks like this additional trigger will help you

Sorry as i got back too late here.

Thanks @Gonchik Tsymzhitov for the suggestion :) .

I have not tried it yet, but seems for build-plans only. This is great in case of build-plans.

This another article also did not solve my issue.

Ooh, maybe latest release will help?

As I see, Bamboo dev needs more feedback :)
