Stop error notifications in bamboo

Every night I am running bitbucket DIY backup this is automated using cron job. This will bring down bitbucket at the time of backup making it unavailable, but bamboo tries to connect bitbucket for checking repository changes and causes the problem, all plans try to connect and throw errors in bamboo. Is there a way or workaround to stop this occurrence in bamboo from checking repo at certain time frame.

In terms of workaround, Anders Kjærgaard Hansen's comment provides an approach, though he qualifies it as an 'ugly hack' himself ;)
