When we click release button in JIRA, we get "Failed to execute request: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out". This is not happening all the time, but it seems to be related to a heavy load in Bamboo server.
We use some old versions of JIRA and Bamboo and we are in the way to update it, but we would like to solve this before the upgrade.
Our versions are:
JIRA 6.3.14 / Bamboo 5.7.2 / JIRA Bamboo Plugin 7.2.0
Is there any way we could configure socket timeout for this request?
I have tried -Dhttp.socketTimeout=<miliseconds>, but it did not work.
PS: Timeout is ocurring after 50s.
Thank you very much!
I see you opened a ticket a while ago for this and Tim pointed out JSWSERVER-11775 that appears to match this issue. It appears this is resolved in 7.2.7. Please review JSWSERVER-11775 and if you agree that is the culprit please follow the listed workaround in JSWSERVER-11775.
