How to run new build plan from REST api call?

Hi Team,

The REST API request I'm using was able to run failed jobs,

https://<host address>/rest/api/latest/queue/<project>-<plan>-<build key>

But what is the REST api call to run with new build key just like as we are doing in bamboo ui. 

triggerManualBuild.Action?buildKey=<project>-<plan>

How to call above action using REST API call?

The REST API equivalent for 'triggerManualBuild.Action?buildKey=<project>-<plan>' is:

Unfortunately that REST endpoint lacks detailed docs for the parameters, though they are all explained for the related /queue/{projectKey}-{buildKey}-{buildNumber : ([0-9]+)} endpoint right below (admittedly the specific meaning of 'projectKey' and 'buildKey' is a bit confusing, esp. in relation to similarly named Bamboo variables with a slightly different scope).

Accordingly, for a project with key TST and a plan with key NMS, you can trigger a new build with a POST to:

  • https://{{host}}/bamboo/rest/api/latest/queue/TST-NMS
