How to detect failed jobs

Hello, I did not realise I was making a post. I believe my issue is resolved:

I was searching for how Bamboo detects how a job has failed or not. I believe it is using the exit status code from each command.

I had a bamboo job that was passing even though a command step failed. The bamboo job continued and passed, as the command was followed by a tee command, which consumed the error code.
