How to automatically generate a release downloads page between Confluence and Bamboo

Mathew Benson July 2, 2018
I am using server products. New as of the past few months. I have Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo fairly well integrated. I’m able to initiate a release from Jira. This kicks off a Bamboo job that runs one last test suite, generates coverage metrics reports, generates documentation, and collects the documentation and the built products as artifacts. Finally, it tags the commit and pushes the tag back to Bitbucket. A nice well oiled machine. To get to the built products requires many mouse clicks and a good knowledge of Bamboo and our build projects and plans. I would now like to add a Confluence page that gives users a quick and directed way to get to the release artifact download itself. Also a link to the Jira project release project for those that want detailed information. What are some options here? Does anybody have recommendations?

Hey Mathew,

You should be able to create Confluence Pages using the Confluence REST API.

You can see a discussion of something very similar here:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Create-Page-Confluence-REST-API/qaq-p/459443

I also suggest you check out the "Create Content" call in our documentation:

https://docs.atlassian.com/atlassian-confluence/REST/6.6.0/?_ga=2.187205359.690639475.1532355071-1705418969.1518219027#content-createContent

I hope this helps!
