How do you set up Bamboo to use new BitBucket WebHooks for use in Build Plan Remote Triggers?

Derek Rosenzweig June 19, 2015

In BitBucket, the 'Services' are going away. Currently, when you configure a Bamboo Build Plan to use "Remote Trigger" to respond to the 'Bamboo' service available on BitBucket, it will handle that request automatically. But I don't see similar options for the "Repository Push" webhook on BitBucket. There are no options for 'Plan Key' or 'Username'. Is the URL the same, ie https://COMPANY.atlassian.net/builds?

So the question is: how do you set up Bamboo to use new BitBucket WebHooks for use in Build Plan Remote Triggers so they behave the same way they do with the 'Bamboo' Service? This is on Bamboo Cloud.

Or am I totally mistaken, and the Bamboo Service will not be going away?

Hi Derek,

Are you referring to the Bamboo services connection to Bitbucket (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BITBUCKET/Bamboo+service+management)?  If so, this is not going away, and is not affected by the new Bitbucket Webhooks system.

Cheers,
Gary
