Hi everyone,
My team decided to use Capacity Planning in our Scrum process and I'm trying to figure out which Jira addons are recommended for this job, while also tracking the time spent on their work.
I'm looking for tools who provide as much automation as possible, since I cannot trust people to remember to manually measure how much time they spent on a give task in Jira.
I've seen many tools in the marketplace, but I'm asking the community for your insights and what has worked best for you.
Hi @Gil
If you are looking for a mktplace app to help you to plan the capacity for your team members and track them, you can try out the one we have developed for the same use case.
The app allows to store the capacity for individual users and save as templates. which can be mapped to a sprint / fix version to track the allocation and remaining time per user. Do try it out.
Disclaimer : I am part of the team which developed this app

Hi @Gil
I have not used any addons for capacity planning for any teams I've supported...mostly because different teams do this in different ways. And so we have usually done it just-in-time as part of sprint planning and / or with a simple spreadsheet.
My recommendation would be to jot down some notes (with examples) of what you do today and what your team's "wish list" would be to help automate that. Then install some of the marketplace addons as trials to learn which ones help.
Kind regards,
Bill
