Using tables in emails results in strange formatting

Clemens Kleibusch August 14, 2023

Hi all,

I just tried to use smart values.
I want to use a simple table to get some information formatted for an E-mail.

I used structures like this

<p>Some info</p>
<table>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Issue</td>
<td>Reference object</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Issue</td>
<td>Reference object</td>
</tr>
....
</tbody>
</table>

But no matter what html formatting I applied, I always get multiple lines in a row and the first cell is still formatted differently than the others:

Is there (already) a solution or a workaround?

Thanks and regards,
Clemens

Hi @Clemens Kleibusch,

Do you have the option Convert line breaks to HTML line breaks checked? If so, uncheck it please and send an email again.

This option is located in the More options section:

Hi @Kseniia Trushnikova
Great!
It didn't occur to me at all that this checkbox could have anything to do with my problem. But that's exactly what it was!
Thanks a lot!
