Ticket not moving to waiting for customer stage

Tried to move ticket to waiting for customer stage but it reverts to waiting for support stage

what might be the reason for this problem?

Take a look at your workflow and see if the transition requires any conditions to be met before the transition is allowed. 

As an example: This transitions isn't allowed unless All Sub-tasks are in one of the following statuses
