I would like to know if it is possible to create an automation rule in Jira cloud that is triggered by a self and global transition. This transition is global, so executable from any states and it goes from each state to the same state.
If it is not possible, the best workaround is to delete the transition and to use the trigger: Manual trigger from issue.
Any other ideas?
Thank you in advance!
Thank you @Mathew Lederman , but the scopt regards the visibility of the rule accross all projects. I prefer the manual trigger.

@Guido Scollo Jira Cloud does have global automation available to jira-admins. And yes, you can create an automation rule triggered off a transition with a global scope.
I've attached an example screenshot.

I could have sworn that the transition trigger can work with a single project instead of global. I am able to configure a rule that way but don't have a self transition handy to test it with:
The only caveat I can see is if you have more than one self-transition for a given status value but that seems like an edge or corner case. If you do have multiples then you can't use this trigger since there is no way to select one specific self-transition.
