How to migrate a free Cloud Jira to a Cloud Enterprise jira

Hello Team,

We are currently using a free 10users Cloud Jira but we need to move to Enterprise cloud Jira.

  • Having a free edition cloud Jira
  • Bought a licensed cloud Jira
  • Now, we need to migrate from free to Paid cloud Jira account.

Please help me guiding the same,

Hi @Sharath

while there is documentation on exporting one Cloud site and importing to a new Cloud site I am wondering if this is really what the intention is.

Given the assumption your company upgraded from a free to a paid plan - would it not be like just changing the "tariff" in order to get all the features?
Unless you are intentionally giving up the old site name (assuming you had something like test in the URL you want to get rid of) it might be better to talk to Atlassian support first - if upgrading the "existing" site and changing the name would not be the better option.

If you really want to do it, here is some documentation on migrating projects from one Cloud site to another:

Regards,
Daniel

Hi @Sharath ,

if you have bought Jira Cloud for a new site, you can do a backup of your existing Free site and import it in your new paid site : https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/create-a-site-backup/

If you've just converted your current Free site, there's nothing to do : the plan will change and you'll have access to all the paid features. Here's how to manage your plan : https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/manage-your-plan-and-billing/

Let me know if this helps,
