Looking to find a way to assign a priority level to an overarching project or "Initiative" as it is referred to in Jira and have the priority level of all issues associated with this initiative copy that same priority level. I have been able to do it successfully in Jira Cloud automation, but when looking at Jira Data Center, it doesn't seem that there is a way to easily relate Epics to the Initiative level. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas or had done something like this with the priority levels or any related field.
Thanks!
You want to copy the priority of Initative to its child Epics?
If so,
Yes, I would like to copy (automatically) the priority level of the initiative to its child epics and then subsequent tasks and sub-tasks. These are all located within the same project so the second question is a non-issue in this case.
I know this can be done through a bulk edit, but I am trying to have the priority of the initiative automatically populate the child epics and then tasks and sub-tasks after there is a change in the priority on the initiative level.
