Hi Marie-Hélène,

The Delay function in automation rules is only available for Premium and Enterprise plans. However, you can utilize the Re-fetch issue action which will be a very short delay of sorts. And if you string together a couple of them it will probably do the trick.

Hi @Marie-Hélène PARISATO

Adding to John's suggestions...

Only some timing problems in automation rules may be solved using the Delay action (for premium licenses level) or the Re-fetch Issue action (for all license levels).  Instead a change of rule design or approach may be needed.

If you have a specific need to delay something in a rule, I encourage you to:

  • describe the problem you are trying to solve; that is, "why do this"
  • provide an image of your complete automation rule
  • provide an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution
  • explain what is not working as expected, and why you believe that to be the case

Those will provide context for the community to offer better suggestions.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Marie-Hélène PARISATO

You can find the Delay under Actions in the automation rule.

Edited: Please share the screenshot of the search under actions.

Could you please let us know what Jira Plan you have?

The delay action is available on Jira Software Cloud Premium and Cloud Enterprise plans, regardless of whether or not you have a Jira Service Management plan. The other functionalities in this release require a Jira Software Management plan (see the top of this post for details on plan-level availability).

effectivement je suis en standard et pas en premium. J'ai fait appel au support jira qui m'a conseillé d'utiliser les branches. Et j'en ai informé chatgpt.
