Dear Community,
We are using JIRA Server (On Prem) and we have a Project Board open to everyone at the company.
As we have another application reponsible for automation, this tool is actualy creating Issues when required on behalf of users, by sending an email to a mailbox connected to this Board.
Our problem here is that, we want to block all users to open issues directly in this Board, but when we do so, the emails are not being imported to the Board.
Is there any solution or another way to create those issues on behalf of users without given them access to do it as well?
Thanks in advance!
Hellen Braun
If you are in the cloud, I would suggest you get a free license for JSM which allows you to have 3 agents. Then you can design a portal for the end users to create requests. Once they are created, you can use automation to clone the ticket to the project board you are referring to.

Good Luck.
Hi @Fabian Lim ,
I already have the Portal, it's an external tool.
The way I'm connecting now with JIRA is by sending emails with the user request to a mailbox connected to the Project.
The thing is that, I don't know how to revoke the users permission to raise an issue in our project without breaking this connection. I tried Rest API but it seems to be problematic for JIRA Server (On Prem).
I'm just brainstorming here if there is any other way.
