Hi there
Any help appreciated!
We are using Jira Cloud; oftentimes the Assignee of a ticket may change. Is there a way to track these changes - I'm thinking some way to auto add an internal comment to the ticket to say "Assignee changed from XXX to YYY" or similar.
Or maybe this information already sits somewhere that I am unaware of.
Thanks in advance for any clues...
Richard

Here’s how to set up an automation rule to log changes in the Assignee:
Navigate to Project Settings: Go to your project and select Project settings in the sidebar.
Select Automation: Find and click on the Automation option.
Create a New Rule: Click on Create rule.
Select Trigger: Choose the Field value changed trigger and select Assignee as the field.
Add Condition (Optional): You can add a condition to check if the issue is in a specific status or project, depending on your needs.
Save the Rule: Give your rule a name and save it.
Test the Rule: Change the Assignee on an issue to see if the comment gets added as expected.
Changes to the assignee (and everything else) live in the Issue History. What do you want to do with it?
