Attachment / Pictures in text not shown

Hello everyone!

We are currently copying all incoming support messages via the automation from the JSM into the Jira Software. Most of the time, the added pictures will be embedded into the message itself. Those screenshots seem not to work, and I don't know why.

(It just says "Hello all, Datev Cloud isn't working. Here is the error message:"

"Preview not avaiable")

Is there any way to send embed screenshots as an attachment into the Jira Software? I didn't find an option for it, sadly. Other ways to get it to work are greatly appreciated aswell.

I would gladly accept any help or ideas you might have!

Unfortunately we don't support this at the moment (and generally copying attachments in general).

Technical - When images are added as attachments, then the new issue will actually still be referencing the original image. With embedded images, these have a relative reference and hence if you copy the description with an embedded image, the new issue can't find it.

Sorry, but no real work around to this one at the moment.

We are tracking this one at - https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-1030
