[Update 6th October 2023]

Thank you all for your patience and help by using the EAP and helping us understand how this feature is making your migrations easier. We are working on making this publicly available inside Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant.

Please stay tuned for the next update with timelines on EAP closure and public release.

Hi Atlassian Community,

My name is Priyanshu Bhalotia, and I’m a Product Manager on the Confluence Migrations team.

I’m excited to announce the launch of the early access program (EAP) for migrating your Confluence templates, global page templates, and custom system templates, starting with Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant version 3.4.8. We are excited to open up this EAP as we know that many of you currently utilize templates within Confluence, and you’ve shown us how important they are to drive business continuity within a workspace. We also know that this has been a missing component to help many of you smoothly migrate to the cloud.

Ready to try it out? Sign up today to test out the EAP

We invite you to join our early access program, where you can now migrate all of your Atlassian server and Data Center template data using Atlassian’s free migration tool: Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant.

Note: In order to participate, you’ll need to be an org admin across the source and destination sites in which you want to migrate Confluence data. Interested in the Early Access Program, but not an admin? Message your admin to sign up, so that they can test this for your organization.

  • Step 1: Admins can sign up here, if you have been selected, we’ll reach out to confirm your participation soon, and share more resources about the EAP.

  • Step 2: You're good to go and test out the experience!

  • Step 3: Please follow the ticket progress here for future updates

If you have feedback or questions about template migrations, please let us know in the comments.

How to access the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant: The tool is already installed in Confluence 6.13 and above and can also be downloaded from the Atlassian Marketplace. Learn more about how to use Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant.

Will this also support nested macros used in global templates?
