Howto do a safe cleanup from dashboards and filters from inactive users

I'm preparing my migration from Server to Cloud and at this moment i realise that there are plenty of (private & shared) Jira filters and Jira dashboards from inactive users.

Is there a way to safely remove those filters and dashboards, preferred by a database query (sql). By safely i mean that i must be carefull to not remove filters from Agile boards.

At this moment i move the filters on my server instance to a "cleanup user" i've created and manually remove them with the userinterface, but this way of working is very time consumable.

Is there also an advice to handle this issue for cleaning up the filters, dashboards, agile boards ?

Also in the future, when we are moved to the cloud, i want to have a procedure for keeping a clean jira environment. So a checklist of things todo when jira & confluence users leave the compagny.

Like:

  • Handle the content of the personal space (move content to the team) afterwards remove the personal space
  • Delete the private jira dashboards
  • Delete the private saved jira filters
  • Delete of change owner for shared jira filters and shared jira dashboards
  • ... Suggestions are welcome :)

Many thanks for advice !
