Bitbucket server migration to bitbucker cloud - free migration trial

Hi!

We are looking to migrate Bitbucket Server to Bitbucket Cloud (also Jira Software and Clonfuence). We want to make some migration tests and there is no free migration trial for this product.

We know there is a possibility to have Bibucket Cloud for 5 users for free but we have 60 users. If possible migrate the code and not the users? Which problems can we encounter if we do that?

Has any organization confront this same problem?

Hey Patricia!

You are correct in stating that Bitbucket Free has a maximum of 5 users, and migrating more than this user limit to a Free workspace will not be possible as you will not be able to use the workspace due to this limit.

I would suggest reaching out to our Billing/Licensing team to request a trial license so that you may proceed with the migration accordingly:

Can i migrate the repositories without the users? What would happen in this case? Do we lost trazability?
