How to remove upselling links?

It's very confusing for me as an administrator to see so many normal interface elements for Atlassian products and services that we're not currently subscribed to. If it's confusing for me, imagine how frustrating it is for my users!

There must be a way for paying customers to turn these off.

Hi @Ruby

You can turn off some of the suggestions/tips which pop-up in Jira. You'll need to be an Admin to do this:

  • Go to Settings (cog icon in top-right) > System
  • Choose General Configuration from the left-hand menu (it should default to this)
  • Scroll to the bottom of this page and select the hyperlink Turn off product recommendations
  • Follow the instructions

Notes...

  • Whilst I haven't found a similar option in Confluence, the action is taken from the Atlassian Admin section - so this might turn off recommendations for all products (?)
  • The warning message states turning this off cannot be undone, so keep this in mind

---

For some other features, there aren't options to turn these off at present - there are several feature requests for this you could vote for though:

Or if yours isn't listed, look for others (or make a new suggestion) here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
