Can't change e-mail or delete an Atlassian account


I tried to change e-mail to my main account but I received this email:

"Your email change request could not be processed because is already associated with another Atlassian account."

I tried to close/remove the other second old account so I could change the e-mail via this link:

but doesn't work, just load and load and load...

Both are gmail account, how I can close and remove the second account so I can use that e-mail for the first main account?

Hi Francesco! Can you try using that link to close your account again? If it keeps loading it might be something related to your browser, in that case you could try a different one or the incognito mode, and make sure you're logged into the account you'd like to close.

To remove the account that has the email you want to use, you must login using that account and go to the close-account link. I suggest trying this using Incognito (Chrome) or Private Browsing (Firefox) window so you can be absolutely sure what account you are logged in with.

  1. Open an Incognito or Private Browsing window.
  2. Go to
  3. Login with the old account that has the email address you want to re-use.
  4. Follow the instructions.
  5. Close the browser window.
  6. Now go to
  7. Login with the account you want to keep.
  8. Follow the instructions to change your account email address.

Morgan. doesnt work, there are some info about account deletion but the link doesnt remove account anymore.

Same issue i have. I have deleted account created with new Email Id. On deletion, i received email saying "Your Atlassian account will be permanently deleted soon". I hope after deletion i can updated current account with new Email ID.
