Hey Timothy,
Verifying your domain has some benefits in Atlassian Access and in Jira:
- You can set specific password policies for users in your domain
- You can change the user's display name and job title
- You can change the email address for managed users
- Temporary exclusion from 2-factor authentication is possible, as well as forcing password resets
- In Jira Service Desk, you can change the outgoing email address to show from your domain
