Will claim domain affect the self-hosted server accounts

Hey everyone,

We are about to press the "Claim Accounts" button but we are unsure of the consequences.
We are currently still running our production Self-hosted Atlassian stack, and are just starting to test Atlassian Access.

I have two questions:

1 - Will "claim accounts" affect the accounts on the self-hosted Atlassian Jira/confluence/etc Server?
2- Is there a way not to send an email, stating we are doing this test?

Hi @Mikhael Santos,

  1. Claiming accounts only affects Atlassian Cloud accounts, so it won't have any impact on your Server accounts.
  2. You can't disable email notifications when claiming accounts, as you can read in the documentation:

When you claim accounts, users with the domain receive an email telling them about the change and what it means to have a managed account. We recommend you notify users that they'll receive this email and who to contact to modify their account.

Hope this helps,

- Manon

Thanks for the swift reply!
