Two-step verification page shows up at login even when 2FA is disabled

Hello community,

I have (temporarily) disabled the 2FA in my Atlassian account after the TOTP code from Google Authenticator was continuously rejected as invalid when attempting to login to my Bitbucket.org account. Now even several hours after deactivation I still get prompted to enter a Two-step verification code.

Is this a known issue?

UPDATE: this is of course not related to the _Atlassian Access_ product, it is a generic issue.
