Remove G Suite Sync

Our Atlassian applications are all cloud instances.  We are currently synching users from G-Suite, however we are moving away from G-Suite and want to cut the sync.  When we cut the sync, what will the user experience be after we we disable sync?

  • Will the users remain in the instance?
  • Will the users be converted to Atlassian Cloud accounts?
    • If so, how will they be notified to create their password?

I am assuming nothing happens to the existing accounts and the history remains in tact and the new Atlassian accounts that are created are mapped to the existing users in which G-Suite was synching to.
