I'm trying to add an email domain from admin for Jira Service management.
I have copied the name in the Host Record field and Record Value to the Points to field on my websites DNS record. But the DNS record won't verify.
for example it is setup as
atlassian-bounces.mydomain.com bounces.mail-us.atlassian.net TTL 1 Day
I was able to verify domain itself with no issue. But I can't get the email domains to work.
I did notice that when the "Record value" field that it had a "." at the end that my domain host said was invalid. i.e "bounces.mail-us.atlassian.net."
Any help would be appreciated.
UPDATE: Made some progress only the TXT record for the email domain is not verifying now.
This is strange as the txt record for the domain verification for Jira worked without issue.
Hi Greg,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
When creating users, only they will be able to set if the information of their profile will be private or public.
As you own this domain, you can edit their full name, but to hide or show their information is up to them to decide.
Regards,
Angélica
This setting is not possible to configure, so we can't change the default to private instead of public.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
That's really unfortunate. We do not want to be leaking this information, and it will be VERY EASY to leak it by mistake. No user would have any idea they need to change this setting before interacting with the Atlassian community.
