Assign product role from Azure AD

Is is possible to assign Atlassian product roles to users from Azure AD? 

For example have security group A - assigned to the administrator role for Jira?

There could be a few things at play here, but my recommendation is:

1. make sure the user is enabled and can log into confluence
2. Check that you can mention the user in other areas of confluence, like @mentions on a page or in a comment. If you can't then contact Atlassian Support, as there might be an issue you can't fix.
