How to update managed user email address - CLOUD

Hi there,


I read this documentation


But I can't find a way to either Directory or where to update the details of a managed user account. Does someone know how I can do this?

Hi Ana,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

To change an email address from a managed account, if you are the organization admin, you need to go to and click on the desired organization.

Then go to Directory > Managed accounts and search for the user that you need to change the email address.

You can find all the steps on the documentation below:

To edit the account's email address:

From the Email address field, enter the updated email address and click the checkmark.

We’ll email the user to verify the change. Until then, you’ll continue to manage this account with the original email address.

@Angélica Luz  Thanks - I went though that documentation but I can't find the Organization tab nor the directory tab anywhere. And from the user detail view I can find any Edit, or anywhere how to edit the details...

It seems they changed something in the admin panel but the documentation is not up to date...


When you go to the Admin page, you should see something like this:


From here, click the Organization name (directly under Organization header). You'll then see the Directory tab. Choose Show Details on the account you want to update, then click on the email address. This will make it available or editing.

Are the email addresses part of the G-Suite / Gmail at all? 


@Ste No they are our owned domain
