Our company just merged with one of the big companies and now we need to change the users email addresses which are google mail server accounts to the new Outlook365 email accounts..
When I try to change my email address, I get this message and I'm the administrator on Atlassian.
Your account is managed by Google.
Contact your Google administrator to change your email address."
- How do we change the email addresses from Google administration
- What is the impact on this.
- Will users now receive their Atlassian email notifications on the new emails.
It sounds like you're trying to change the email via id.atlassian.com. Because the user is managed by Google the email change can only be done directly in Gsuite by the Gsuite Administrator.
The impact of changing the email of the users in Gsuite is that the email change will sync with their Atlassian account and the change will be reflected on every platform the account is used on. They will indeed receive their email notifications on the new email.
