Hi,
I need to provide access to a single user from a 3rd party. I am using Okta to provide MFA functionality, but i am being told that i need to claim the entire domain of the 3rd party by adding a txt file to there DNS registration.
Surely this can't be the case, I just want to enable the features provided by Okta to login to Confluence.
I must be misunderstanding?
Hello Tom,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
In order for users to be able to login to Confluence using an Identity provider or just to use two-step verification, it will be necessary to prove that you own the domain.
It’s not possible to apply any security policies if the domain is not verified.

If you have any other questions regarding this matter, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Angélica
