AD Attribute - Location

Hi there,

We have a reporting requirement to produce reports based on what region the reporters are from.

We have Atlassian Access syncing with OKTA for user provisioning. OKTA has access to all the data that we have in AD, but none of the location fields within Jira are getting populated?

Can you please advise on how best to get this region / location data into Jira?

Many thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the explanation of the Elements Connect features :)
I'll clarify a few things. Today we are able to do all the features Dave explained, but only on the On-Premise version of our app. Unfortunately, you have tagged your question in the Cloud department and we are not yet able to connect to Okta or the REST API applications. In your use case, this is only possible with our server version. We are currently working on the integration of Connect Cloud with Salesforce and REST API. However, a workaround could be used to sync your data into a database and then use Connect for Cloud.
@David Meredith, if you are still looking for a solution, you can make an appointment with our product manager and he will explain how to work around this issue. Here is his Calendar.

I hope this answer helps you resolve your issue,
Thank you for your time,
Armand

Hi Dave,

Did you have any luck with this?

One solution I can think of is to use an app like Elements Connect.

Elements Connect can connect to an external data source, e.g. the OKTA REST APIs, or some other exposure of your user data (maybe you're in Azure AD). Once a user creates an issue, the connected "Region" field will then automatically update based on the corresponding data as pulled from your user directory, based on data in the reporter field.

Hope that helps,
Jimmy
