Hello,
We are leveraging Jira work extensively for project management (non software projects). In addition with switched to JSM for our enterprise help desk in May this year.
We have explored some of the functionality of Atlas for a long while but it looks like it now starts to meet the requirements of our management. However we have a specific philosophy regarding managing dates (same approach for ITSM change tickets as for projects (epics).
We manage our dates differently than the default in Jira and as such are not leveraging the start date and target date in the manner the sync indicates between Jira and Atlas.
We have Target start and Target end as our dates for planned work and the question is if it is or will be possible to specify what date fields to use for the sync?
Thanks
Atle
Hi Atle,
Apologies for the late reply and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the Jira and Atlas integration does not currently support choosing which fields to use as the sync dates. However, we've had this query a few times, and have a fair volume of feedback about making Atlas more flexible with dates and time in general, so will likely add this at some point in the future. I'll work with the team to prioritise this in the backlog.
Thanks,
Mark
curious if there was any progress on this?
b/c we use Advanced Roadmap with Target end and Target start date, w/o this customization, we cannot really use Atlas sync to Jira... Unless you have a workaround?
