Hi Atlassian Community,
Last month, we introduced the Jira widget for FigJam, Figma’s online whiteboarding tool, making it easier than ever to turn brainstorms and sprint planning into action. Today, we’re excited to announce the Jira widget is coming to the Figma editor, allowing teams to turn action items into manageable tasks without leaving their design file.
Bringing together design and development
When you’re ready to turn designs into code, sometimes it’s difficult to manage what exactly needs to be done. Turning action items from design critiques and handoff meetings into Jira tasks feels like an extra step.
The Jira widget for Figma allows teams to create production tasks directly from the Figma canvas. This means it’s that much easier to move from design to development. Use the Jira widget to pull Jira projects and all of their associated issues into the canvas to discuss and update as a team. Adjust assignee, priority, status, and issue type right in Figma, while maintaining your source of truth in Jira. And, if new to-dos come up in a meeting, you can capture them on stickies and then instantly convert them to issues in Jira.
Try out the Jira widget for yourself here. Not a Figma user? Try Figma for free.
