Delete issues from Jira

Some users find they can’t delete issues in Jira. That’s because they don’t have access to the process of deleting. If you want to remove some ticket/issue, you need special project permission.

Think responsively before granting permissions for deleting issues to some users or user groups. Usually, it is only given to administrators.

How to delete Jira’s issue?

Go for Settings → Projects → Project Settings → People → Add People. Here you can add yourself as an administrator. 

Now, open an issue and find the Delete option.

There is no Jira built-in option for storing those issues someone deletes. You can try some apps from the Atlassian Marketplace, like Issue History for Jira, which has a specially designed option to keep deleted tasks.
