We’re excited to announce that the Lansweeper App for Assets in Jira Service Management Cloud is now available in Atlassian Marketplace!

This integration allows for seamless and efficient asset management by fetching Lansweeper Assets and synchronizing them directly to Jira Service Management Assets, ensuring that your inventory is consolidated and complete.

Key Features

Automatically sync Lansweeper Assets with Jira Service Management Assets - Quickly and easily sync Lansweeper assets and data with your existing Assets in JSM, including all of their relation data, manually or automatically at customized intervals, depending on your specific needs. You can create new JSM Assets if they don’t already exist, or update assets already in the inventory.

Filter Asset types - The Lansweeper App enables you to view a list of all your existing asset types for the configured Lansweeper site, turn on and off automatic syncs for specific asset types, and find specific asset types using an intuitive search function.

Configure asset fields - The Lansweeper App lets you configure asset properties that you wish to sync between Lansweeper and JSM, and you can filter the data by as many as 30 fields.

View sync statistics - Lansweeper’s App also enables you to view the status of a sync process, including the start and end times.

Getting Started

First, you need to be a Jira Admin user and have a properly configured Premium or Enterprise plan for Jira Service Management. If you don’t have this setup, see change your plan before you download the app. You’ll also need either a Pro or Enterprise Lansweeper plan. Lansweeper’s Pricing & Plans are available here.

When you’re ready, log into your Jira Service Management account and navigate to Explore more apps under Apps. In the search bar, type “Lansweeper App for Jira Service Management Assets.” Select the app, then Get App > Get it now, to install. To configure the app,  go to Apps > Manage your apps and select Lansweeper App for Jira Service Management Assets Configuration from the lefthand navigation. Detailed installation instructions can be found here.

To view and manage your Assets, select Hardware in your JSM account, and you’ll see all the asset types pulled from Lansweeper. Select an asset to see more information such as asset name, key, host site and more, or select the Lansweeper Asset URL link to see the asset on your Lanseweeper site. Any Jira issues that have been created related to that asset can be viewed under Linked issues. You can also view linked objects, including outbound and inbound references and their relation types. Selecting the object link will take you directly to the assets page.

Another great feature is the ability to view the object graph, which provides a visual representation of all your linked objects. Just choose an asset type from your Hardware list, then the asset you want to inspect. Under Linked objects, choose Object graph, and click the link.

So must you have the Premium Plan with Asset Management to use this Lansweeper app?
