eazyBI Plugin Connection Error ORA-12505 with Oracle 19 Database

Hello everyone,

I am currently facing a challenge while attempting to connect the eazyBI plugin to our Oracle 19 database. An error is consistently occurring, which states: "Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor."

Interestingly, I am able to establish a connection to a different eazyBI schema on another server without any issues. This leads me to question whether the problem lies within the Oracle database configuration or if there is an error in the eazyBI configuration settings.

Your expertise and guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Please make sure you have the latest eazyBI version—7.1.2 or newer. The older version had a minor connectivity issue. Then, follow the eazyBI documentation: https://docs.eazybi.com/eazybi/set-up-and-administer/atlassian-data-center/installation-on-jira#InstallationonJira-Oracle.

Usually, it is safer to use the service name instead of the SID.
