(This question is regarding the WBS Gantt-Chart plug-in from Ricksoft - used the relevant keyword to tag.)

When I import from a Microsoft Project file, the task name that shows in the WBS Gantt-Chart view has the original WBS number added in front. In addition, a different and separate WBS number is created. See below for reference.

I would like to know, if possible:

1. How to prevent the WBS number and the task name to be combined in the WBS Gantt-Chart view?

2. How to utilize the original WBS number from the Microsoft Project file to show in the WBS Gantt-Chart view - i.e., do not create a new WBS number?

Dear @Jeffrey Heo ,

Hi I'm Hanna from Ricksoft Inc.

Our developer assumes that this is a designed behaviour to avoid confusion when importing. The intention is to allow customers to identify if the hierarchy has been properly migrated and also prevent Summary Title duplication in different levels.

We raised the improvement ticket to adjust this behavior. In the meantime, they can use other apps such as Excel-like Bulk Editor to quickly remove the Gantt numbers from the issues after importing.

As for the matching the WBS Number between the MSProject file and the application, that is unfortunately not possible, since MSProject issues can be imported at any point, like for example, importing MSProject issues into a already existing Gantt.I guess this should help to address the customer question.

If you have any thoughts please comment here again or raise the support ticket in our support portal (https://ricksoft-support.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3)
