Need custom listner

I create  a sub task issue  by name ( sub task issue1 ) for  a task issue type

An  issue type number (key) gets generated when the subtask gets generated .  I would like display this issue key of the subtask in on one of the transition screen I have (completely separate screen) in text field. How do I do it using  custom listener or post function of the create subtask so that I get  the  Subtask key( issue - link key) and store it in a Text field and use the text field on the one of the screens.

You would need to copy the key into an editable field that you can present to your users, and then probably destroy what they enter into it.

Could you explain what use this would be to the end-user?  What does showing them a key they don't care about improve their usage or reduce their load?
