How to change the options of a checkboxes custom field

I created a custom field with the Checkboxes type, and populated it with several options. Now, I've decided to change some of the options and add some new options. When I go to the Issues -> Fields screen and edit the custom field, I get the option to change the title of the field and it's description, but no option to edit the options themselves.

How do I accomplish what I'm looking to do?

As you wrote above, only choose instead of editing

contexts and default value -> change options
