Automation based on form field

Paula Brück September 12, 2024

Hello everyone,

I am currently in the process of mapping our onboarding process within Jira. So far I have been able to map everything and it works. The last step is currently missing (marked in bold).

Department 1 creates a ticket including form A. The ticket is then forwarded to department 2 including form B. As soon as form B is submitted, a SubTask is automatically created. As soon as this SubTask changes its status to closed, another SubTask is to be created. But only if a specific field has been selected in form B.

My automation currently looks like this:Jira_Automation_SubTask.png

The restriction that the new SubTask should only be created if the CRM field has been selected in Form B is missing.

Do you have an idea how to add this If rule?

Best regards, Paula

Hey @Paula Brück

sorry, just saw your answer.
What if you insert {{issue.parent.key}}, like this?
