Hi Community,
how can i give access to jira issue sync to a person that is missing it. He does not see an option to see more apps in jira. He is not a Jira admin but can i keep him not Jira admin and still give him right to access Jira Issue Sync app?
@Vera Valshonok You can enable members to sync Jira issues with Unito as long as you authenticate with OAuth2.
Hi Vera,
This is Majid @ Exalate.
I see that you already found an answer that this will not be possible for the particular app you are using. However, there are options out there already that provided this feature built into the app. Here at Exalate, we do this via the Delegated Admin Access feature that allows a Jira Admin to nominate any Project Administrator as the "app admin" as well.
Hope it helps!
Thanks
Majid

Hi @Vera Valshonok
If you are using Issue Sync for Jira or Issue Sync Pro (both provided by Deviniti) the app configuration can be only accessed by admins. It's currently not possible to let non-admin users modify the synchronization rules.
Nevertheless, if you think that this feature is missing, please drop us and request via Customer Portal and let us know your use case. We will gladly consider it as a potential new feature!
Cheers,
Kasia from Deviniti

I see. Unfortunately, in the case of Issue Sync for Jira the app configuration can be only accessed by admins.
Still, if you have any other configuration questions or doubts, feel free to contact our support via our Support Portal and we will do our best to help you :)
Best regards,
Kasia

Hey @Vera Valshonok
can you please clarify which app you're talking about exactly?
If you talk about Backbone Issue Sync, you can check out this help article which guides you how to configure specific groups in the global settings - and only these groups can access Backbone's configuration then.
Hope that helps,
Matthias.

There are many apps on the Atlassian Marketplace for issue synchronization. Could you please clarify what app do you use?
By the way, I'm moving your question to the App Central category as it's app-related.
