Have you ever faced the case that some critical issue has been deleted from the Jira instance?
Based on our research in the community, it's a frequently asked topic.
Knowing this challenge, we recently released the feature to store the last capture of all deleted issues to entities' properties.
It's available for all types of users at Issue History Add-on.
We would be happy to know your business case with audit and deleted issues.

I thought about this flow as well, but it is only in the RoadMap.
The user can now store the deleted issues once the feature is activated and view all fields Issue had at the moment of deletion.
So, we are keen to deliver this feature for audit purposes.
We would be happy to reprioritize it if restoring is a crucial case.
The only problem, the Issue won't have the initial key.
